Elegant, octagonal, rifled barrel (clean bore, clearly visible rifling) with variable section, narrower towards the middle and widening again towards the top; fully browned, base with three frame, two engraved with floral motifs, the other in silver, followed by wave-shaped engraving and the signature ‘CARL PIRKO in WIEN’; hallmarks and numbering on the sides; precision front sight and 9 mm calibre at the nozzle. Browned tang engraved with floral and geometric motifs, numbered “2” and equipped with adjustable rear sight with screw. Forward-spring percussion lock, flat plate with outlined and engraved edges, scroll decorations and signed “PIRKO”. Working mechanism. Half wooden stock (some small defects and missing parts) with checkered butt and carved knob; browned iron mounts, the counterplate engraved en suite with the lock and inscribed ‘IN WIEN’, trigger guard with trophy and phytomorphic motifs. Silver shield on the back. Normally cased, therefore without ramrod.
