A beautiful 1833 Model "Albertina" sword that belonged to Count V. A. Sallier de la Tour
length 98.5 cm.
Straight, double-edged blade with central groove, engraved and gilded on a blue background from the tang to beyond the middle, inscription "FABRICA DE TOLEDO" between trophies and floral motifs on both sides. Imposing mounts of typical gilded silver form marked on the loop guard, inner butt-plate and pommel, one shaped as St. Maurice and St. Lazarus under crown, the other with bull's head. Silver foil grip worked like the wire binding. Complete with sword knot. Iron scabbard with two suspension rings; in the upper part a large monogram in gold, "VST" under a count's crown; the band with Savoy knots; with maker's signature "Isaia Fourbisseur a Turin" at the back.
