Octagonal, rifled barrel (clean bore with light pitting, visible rifling), with magazine mounted on the back, marked “VC 17xx” at the bottom, 12 mm cal. at the nozzle; with still 90% of the browning and remains of the mark of the Liegi test bench. The bolt with vertical, falling-block movement: it is raised by cocking, allowing the cartridge to “fall” inside the chamber, then automatically falls back into position, sealing the breech of the barrel. Single-action, working mechanism. Steel frame finely engraved with floral motifs and rocaille. Browned safety lock on the back, also working. Wooden grip, finely checkered. Iron butt-plate and trigger guard engraved en suite, the latter with finger support. Suspension ring. In its original wooden case lined entirely in rust-colored velvet, with the original ball bottom with matching serial number.
