Wide, straight, double-edged blade with a central fuller, engraved along its entire length, on one side "Prima la Patria poi se stesso" among floral motifs, at the base "W. 22. Marzo 1848" and in small letters ‘W. la Guardia Nazion’ (‘W. the National Guard’). On the other side "Morte ai Traditori" between racemes and signature "L. Litta" at the base. Typical solid brass hilt. Rare relic from the famous "Cinque giornate di Milano".
