Olive with star, gilded ray surmounted by silver-plated metal trophy of arms. Typical chin strap with scale and round cheek-piece with star; tricolour cotton cockade, original red and white feather. Visors made of red Moroccan leather inside, featuring light leather sweat-band worked in segments. The skull marked with the mark of Eugenio Capriolo, the cuirassiers' chief armourer, under the crest.
