Information

Japanese porcelain plate produced in 1982 in a limited, numbered edition and autographed on the bottom by actress Shirley Temple. In the original box and complete with certificate. The scene is dedicated to one of her most famous films, "Stand Up and Cheer!". Released in 1934, in the midst of the Great Depression, "Stand Up and Cheer!" was much more than a simple musical film. It was an attempt to lift the spirits of a nation beset by economic hardship. And who better than a smiling, lively little girl like Shirley Temple to embody the spirit of hope and optimism audiences needed? In this film, Shirley plays a little girl who, with her joy and spontaneity, manages to bring a ray of sunshine into the life of a depressed man. Her performance was so convincing that she stole the show from all the other actors, cementing her position as a rising Hollywood star. One of the most memorable scenes from "Stand Up and Cheer!" It's the one in which Shirley Temple sings and dances to the song "Baby Take a Bow." This song has become a true anthem of joy and optimism, and helped make Shirley Temple known throughout the world.
