Andriy Shevchenko's autographed card, wearing an AC Milan jersey, released by Topps for the 2023 Chrome series. Numbered out of 99. Andriy Shevchenko's arrival at AC Milan in the summer of 1999 marked the beginning of an unforgettable era for the Rossoneri club and cemented the Ukrainian striker's place as one of the greatest defenders in the history of Italian and world football. In seven consecutive seasons with AC Milan (from 1999 to 2006), Shevchenko made 296 appearances and scored 173 goals in all competitions, becoming the club's second-highest scorer, surpassed only by Gunnar Nordahl. His individual tenure at AC Milan was marked by success. He was the Serie A top scorer twice (1999–2000 and 2003–04) and the UEFA Champions League top scorer twice (1998–99 with Dynamo Kyiv and 2005–06 with AC Milan). The pinnacle of his individual career came in 2004 when he won the Ballon d'Or, the most prestigious award for a footballer.
