The so called "Pre-Vendôme" Panerai are highly sought-after by collectors, being manufactured in very limited numbers before Officine Panerai was sold to the Vendôme Group (now Richemont) in 1997.Launched in collaboration with Sylvester Stallone, the Panerai Luminor Slytech has been produced in around 200 pieces, all of them gifted by the American actor himself, who made this model famous wearing it on the wrist throughout the film "Daylight", in a period when the Panerai name was largely unknown to the public.Today, only around 95 Slytech specimens are supposed to exist in the market, and the case back of the present piece is engraved with the number 0067.This watch has been personally gifted by Sylvester Stallone to Valentino Fabbian, former AD of the Planet Hollywood in Rome of which Stallone was a business partner, on the occasion of its inauguration in 1997.
