Conditions of Sale

By making an offer, you declare that you have read and accept the General Terms and Conditions of Sale

The Rare Books, Autographs and Early Printed Books Department finds its roots in the decennial experience of Fabio Massimo Bertolo and Silvia Ferrini, and their extensive knowledge of the national and international market.

Sales include all bibliophile areas: from incunabula to modern editions, from illuminated manuscripts to illustrated books produced over the centuries, from local history to the masterpieces of national typography, notwithstanding ancient and early modern printed books, atlases and cartography.

A constant presence is indeed that of the manuscripts and autographs of all periods and genres, alongside historically and culturally-relevant archives, funds and epistolary collections.

In parallel to regular auction sales, the department follows Private Transactions – upon private and institutional clients’ requests – of single works and entire collections. Estimates are always free of charge and are offered with the utmost discretion.

For inheritance and insurance purposes, the department provides fee-based expertise and estimates. Our specialists are registered Periti within the Camera di Commercio.

Our specialists are available for free valuations of single items and entire collections of rare books and libraries, for auction sales in Rome, and expertise for insurance or inheritance purposes.
