Naples, G. Guerra, 1790. Together: Topography of the Neapolitan countryside with its adjacencies [Naples, G. Guerra, 1792]. Both maps are canvas-bound, with a red morocco cover bearing the gold inscription "Zannoni / Agro/ Napoletano / 1793" and the other "Zannoni/ mappa di/ Napoli".
Specialist Notes
Rizzi Zannone is considered the most important cartographer since Giuseppe Magini. He was active in France, particularly in Naples, from 1781 to 1814. During the Bourbon period, he earned the title "Cartographer of the Kings."
