Specialist Notes
Vincenzo Cigola examines a series of historical projects for the construction of navigable canals in the Brescia area, dating back to the 13th-15th centuries, with the aim of connecting the city to Lake Iseo, the Oglio, and the Po. The work documents the deliberations of the General Council of Brescia (1434, 1486) and the subsequent design attempts, which were always interrupted. This is a rare text, fundamental for the study of hydraulic planning, infrastructure, and internal transport in the Venetian era.
