Maestricht, Jean-Edme Dufour & Philippe Roux, 1778. in-4°; vignette on the title page, headers, endpapers, a plate depicting South America engraved by Hérisson, 1818, inserted after p. 130 (apparently not an integral part of the work), 6 beautiful engravings by Jean Baptiste Pierre Tardieu, ft at the end of the work, one of which is folded several times, depicting medals and coins, Egyptian funerary inscriptions, mummies, hieroglyphics, Hebrew, Persian, and Arabic characters; modern cardboard binding, reinforced with brown cloth on the spine, with traces of use and stains; original edition; interesting work of numismatics, iconography, and epigraphy. Work with minor defects but in good overall condition.
