Parma, from the Royal Printing House, 1785. Large 4°, half leather binding with marbled paper on the covers, five-ribbed spine with gilt decorations, title and volume numbering in gilt letters on leather inserts on the spine, red edges; work in two volumes. Title pages preceded by half-titles, with the title: "Sacred lessons on the books of Tobit, Judith, Esther and the Maccabees". The work is composed of two volumes: [1.]: Sacred lessons by Abbot Lorenzo Barotti on the books of Tobit, Judith, and Esther - printed in 1785. [2.]: Sacred lessons by Abbot Lorenzo Barotti on the books of the Maccabees - printed in 1786. The first volume, preceded by the Author's dedication to Marchesa Teresa de Montecatini Bevilacqua, contains three parts, each with its own half-title: on fol. a1r Book of Tobit, f. o2r Book of Judith, f. 2c2r Book of Esther. Fine binding, in excellent condition. Very thick, crisp, and spotless paper. Marginalized text.
