Brescia, Rizzardi, 1739. In 4°. 2 parts in 1 volume. Beautiful copperplate vignette on the title pages with a view of the city of Brescia, wide margins, contemporary full hard parchment binding, gilt title within a red label, marbled edges, very light signs of wear. Ownership signature on the flyleaf.
Specialist Notes
Original edition of this interesting and extensive treatise on Brescian literature in the 15th and 16th centuries. This copy belonged to Carlo Scarella (1705-1765), archpriest of Ghedi from 1754, and subsequently to the Brescian lawyer Carlo Antonio Polotti.
