A large and substantial collection of testimonies of a more familiar nature, attested by over 70 telegrams sent to the family for the death of the Poet ; among these, in addition to those sent by the main Italian writers and editors, there is also a large group of politicians from the entire constitutional arc, from Andreotti to Pertini, from Rumor to Fanfani, from Napolitano to Moro. In a box there are hundreds of postcards sent over the years to Ungaretti , in rare cases by complete strangers, in the vast majority by the entire Italian intelligentsia of the 1950s-1970s, with some rare exceptions even earlier. Among these, a postcard stands out, sent in 1911 from Viareggio by the painter Lorenzo Viani to Ungaretti in Alexandria, Egypt, with a delightful profile portrait of the poet; as beautiful are the postcards by Gadda, Prezzolini, Falqui, Accrocca, Dorazio, Zavattini, Luigi Nono etc. Three postcards bear verses and notes by Ungaretti, as always by his hand is a long letter from San Paolo dated 19 October 1954. Dated 15 January 1918 is a beautiful three-page letter, on Il Tempo headed paper, by Papini.
