Information

Autograph signed with dedication, on a double vertical sheet of paper measuring 420 x 270 mm., dedication in indigo ink "*for Monna Zina * Venice on May 15th 1901."  Verses 337-357 by Maia, Laus Vitae (critical ed. edited by Cristina Montagnani, pp.37-38).

Specialist Notes

Splendid poetic autograph by D'Annunzio, also of great visual impact. Interesting from a textual point of view because it bears the date of 1901 compared to the first edition of 1903 and for the final variant "melancholy" instead of "melancolie".
