Specialist Notes
Beautiful edition of the correspondence of the well-known humanist and Greek scholar from the Marche Filelfo (Tolentino, 1398 - Florence, 1481) with illustrious figures of his time, not a simple oratory exercise, but a true cross-section of Renaissance life: Cosimo de' Medici (about whom he asks the death sentence addressed to the Lords of the City in 1433); Muhammad II (whom he asks for, and obtains, the release of his wife captured by the Turks during the capture of Constantinople), Pope Sixtus IV and others.
