Portrait of the author engraved in oval on the frontispiece, dedication by Bodoni to the Marquise Anna Malaspina della Bastia with head bearing the arms of this family engraved in copper by Lucatelli, copy in closed leaf beards, issue without Notice, modern amateur binding in sponged calfskin with gilt frames on the plates, kept in a slipcase.
Specialist Notes
First Bodonian edition and second work by the Bodoni printer to contain the wording "imprinted with Bodoni types". Published for the wedding "Malaspina - Boiardi" it has a dedication in loose verse, and italics, by Vincenzo Monti; the text is preceded by a Preface by Antonio Serassi and a Letter by Bodoni.
