Information
Venice, Giovanni Tacuino, [1530]. In 4th. Frontispiece within a rich phytomorphic border, ornate initials engraved in wood, a historiata, restoration at the inner margin of the first issue with a small loss of the frame that frames the title page, replaced by an ink drawing, light blooms and scattered redness, some slight halo of humidity, coeval parchment binding, evanescent manuscript title on the spine, blue cuts, slight defects. Initials of belonging and manuscript author on the title page, cardinal stamp on the reverse.
Specialist Notes
Interesting treatise attributed to Girolamo Savonarola or Mario Equicola. It is a work with Counter-Reformation influences that combines the thought of Savonarola with the ideas of Machiavelli.
