Lyon, Antonium Vincentius, 1552. In 2nd. Typographic mark on the title page, decorated drop caps, two plates in the text depicting the Arbor Civilis and the Arbor de Successionibus, marginal browning, preserved the plates of the ancient leather binding with dry impressions, back remade.
Specialist Notes
French lawyer born in 1480 and died in 1540, Chasseneux offered in this work the model and the main source for French customary law, which was adopted until the introduction of the Napoleonic Code. The work has been reprinted countless times since the princeps of 1517.
