Specialist Notes

Publimaster was one of the first companies in Italy in the 1960s to deal with film, television and graphic advertising. Based in Rome, in via dell'Oca 35, it counted among its ranks designers of the caliber of Jacovitti, Biassoni etc. Most of the drawings are anonymous, the few names identified are those of Fabrizio Bevano, Biassoni, Adriana Spadaro, Lydia Sansoni and Giulio Gianini. Of the latter there are four unsigned sketches depicting Allan Pinkerton, with the relative script for the creation of an advertising cartoon for a malt beer. Gianini also creates two tables for an advertising strip entitled "Advice of chivalric science". They are illustrations that vary in subjects, techniques, expressive intensity, all intended to illustrate cartoons and advertisements in part executed but perhaps also unpublished.
A material to be studied.
