Marca tipografica sul frontespizio e in fine, iniziali xilografiche istoriate, legatura a quattro nervi in pelle di scrofa originariamente su piatti in legno, tracce di fermagli metallici su piatto anteriore, titolo manoscritto al dorso parzialmente cancellato, piatto posteriore in pergamena su cartone e sostituito, difetti al dorso, solo parte 1 (di 2).

Edizione cinquecentesca di una delle più note opere dell'umanista Flavio Biondo che qui illustra la storia della Roma pagana come possibile modello per le attività militari e governative della sua età contemporanea. Contiene anche: "De Roma triumphante libri decem", "Romae instauratae libri III", "De origine et gestis Venetorum", "Italia illustrata".
