Two extracts from a work by Br. Augusto di Chateaubriand inserted in the Journal des debats politiques et litteraires in Paris on April 4 and 5, 1814. Italy, s.s., 1814. In 8 °. Stain at the bottom of the pages, editorial paperback with title framed by typographic frame, with stains, hardcover back case.
Virulent pamphlet that the author began to write in late 1813 or early 1814, and was printed in April 1814, probably on the 5th of the month, three days after the dismissal of Napoleon, proclaimed by the Parisian senate. The most brilliant passages are those not dedicated to defending the Bourbons but to destroy the emperor defined as "usurpateur et étranger".
