Third edition of the well-known treatise on physiognomy published in 1630 and source of respect for the physiognomic studies conducted by Johann Caspar Lavater in the eighteenth century. Cornelio Ghirardelli (Bologna c.ca 1572-1637), was a great Italian astronomer and astrologer, father of the Order of Minorite Franciscans and member of the Accademia dei Vespertini where astronomy, astrology and mathematics were discussed. In this important work divided into 10 decas, which in turn are divided into ten speeches, it deals with different features of the face and head, the last speech of each deca is dedicated to female types. & Nbsp;
