Rome, at the author's premises in Piazza di Spagna, Via del Babuino n, 107. 2 vols. With a total of 200 plates engraved in aquatint with sepia-coloured ink, portrait of the author on the first volume, slight foxing, coeval half-leather binding, gold title on the spine, spine of the first volume partially detached, defects on the spine of the second volume. Paper ex libris on the flyleaf.

Beautiful collection of plates based on drawings by the artist Claude Gellée known as Lorrain or the Lorraine (1600-82) in the Collection of the Duke of Devonshire, engraved for the first time in London by Richard Earlom and in this new edition redesigned by the Roman painter Ludovico Caracciolo .
