Made of iron, in semi-matte black lacquer. Small orikugi on the cheeks. Goatee finely rendered in gold maki-e lacquer. Asenagashi-no-ana (sweat-drain hole) beneath the jaw. Interior lacquered dark red with an uneven finish. Tare (suga) of four iron kirits
