Heavy, smoothbore, two-stage, 13 mm cal. barrel, square and round, bell-mouthed at the nozzle, featuring punched floral decorations; long tang ending at the butt plate. Plate with smooth lock plate engraved along the edges with a twist, in the centre a mark with crossed keys featuring the letters "GR" (probably the mark of a Nuremberg gunsmith), double wheel with fretwork gilded bronze wheel cover, snap-action trigger guard with push-button control, engraved cock with a mask and phytomorphic motifs featuring the date "1594", upper jaw with curled and carved spring. Full stock with deer butt plate, completely decorated with bone rosettes punched with effigies of masks, busts, rosettes, animals and geometric motifs. Flat, gilt bronze butt-plate decorated with rosettes, with a housing for a now missing vent. On the opposite side of the plate, an iron saddle hook and a safety system lock operated by a spring-loaded lever. Rectangular, smooth, iron trigger guard. Baluster trigger. Original bone-tiped wooden ramrod.
