Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section; at the forte engraved with the motto “VIVE LE ROI” beneath a crown amid floral motifs on one side, and “VIVE LES GARDES DU CORPS DE S.M.” on the other. Bronze hilt entirely decorated with spiral motifs, with remnants of silvering. Wooden grip bound with very fine metal wire binding.
