Silver hilt, front valve bearing the papal insignia on trophies between two lion heads; quillon block with a griffin; quillon ending in a lion’s head; pommel in the form of a plumed helm. Wooden grip with mother-of-pearl scales. Leather scabbard with silvered mounts.
