length 117 cm.
Round, rifled, 17 mm cal. barrel (bore with encrustments and areas of pitting, visible rifling), marked "CK.." at the base, provided with adjustable and foldaway rear sight, foresight and clutch for the bayonet; the nozzle with two recesses along the border. Backward spring lock signed "P.J. MALHERBE A LIEGE" and with mark “B” under crown, another mark on the breech, but it is not very visible; the block on which the percussion is mounted is marked "567". Wooden full stock (broken part repaired at the butt base). Brass mounts, patchbox on the right butt side, two compartments inside; the upper tang of the butt-plate numbered "N° 567", marked “B” surmounted by crown and double eagle. Elliptical medallion at the grip with monogram "H I" of Tsar Nicholas I. Iron ramrod.
