Two-stage, smoothbore, 15.5 mm cal. barrel: octagonal at the first part, dated “1840” and marked “3”, with imperial mark and additional marks on the right side; then round and provided with clutch for the bayonet. Tang dated en suite and numbered “101”. Forward spring percussion lock (later replaced by the Augustin system after 1840). Wooden full stock with brass mounts (muzzle ring with foresight); a brass shield featuring the imperial monogram “F J” surmounted by crown on the back; iron ramrod and white leather strap. Very rare.
