height 26 cm.
Solid iron structure. Exterior surface with Tetsu-sabiji (rust-black) finishing, decorated with Hana-karakusa (arabesque) motif inlaid in brass. Underside of the treads decorated with brass Ryusui (flowing water) designs. Provided with large suspension buckle eyes mounted on a collar pierced and decorated with the family Mon “Mitsu-Tsutsumi.” Both treads signed on the underside: “Made by Bishu-Ohno-Ju Fujiwara-Shigehisa.” Signs of wear and age. Interior retains most of the red lacquer finish (with small missing and damaged parts). Late Edo period.
