Straight, double-edged blade with fuller and maker's stamp at the base; engraved with the motto “VIVA L'ITALIA” on one side and “MAZZONI” on the other among floral motifs. Areas showing rust damage. Solid brass hilt with straight quillons decorated in relief with leaf motifs, marked “A” and numbered. Spiral grip and bud-shaped pommel. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts (missing the belt loop), the chape decorated with a palmette design.
