Original comic art made by Battaglia for page 10 of "The Black Arrow," the comic book adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic, first published in 1963 and subsequently in the volume I Crociati by Il Gatto e la Volpe in 1982. An intense and technically sublime work that marks Battaglia's early artistic period, already projected toward the maturity that would place him among the greatest masters of international comics. Colored in tempera on the back.
