Original cover made by Manara for "La Route de Macondo," the second volume in the "HP & Giuseppe Bergman" series, first published in France by Les Humanoides Associés in 2005. When Manara created the character of Giuseppe Bergman (his graphic novel double) in the late 1970s and early 1980s, his arrival was a true bolt from the blue in the comics scene of the time. With Bergman, philosophy, poetry, and feelings are explored with the pace, action, and heroism of adventure stories. Adventure is the central theme conveyed by this nomadic, extravagant, and enterprising character. An adventure that leads the reader to discover the world, but also unravels the thread of a truly inner journey. Signed.
