Doll produced by the Lenci company in Turin (Italy). Entirely in visible cloth except for the face and neck (front part) covered in lacquer which makes the surface shiny according to the fashion trend to produce washable dolls. The neck, at the back, is instead in cloth like the body. The Lenci company's experiments in making dolls with a face covered by a 'mask' can be dated between 1935 and 1938. The expression on the face is from the Giuliana series present in Lenci catalogues in the second half of the 1930s. The yellow organza dress, completely original, retains its luminosity. Similarly, the painting of the face gives a very intense expressive line
In a very good state of preservation it has some slight hints of craquelure
