Original illustration n. 35 made by Jacovitti for the fourth chapter of his "Pinocchio", accompanying the episode in which Pinocchio encounters the assassins, published on a double page (pages 68 - 69) by the AVE publishing house in 1964. Jacovitti tackled Collodi's masterpiece three times: the first in 1944, for the types of the La Scuola editions; the second in 1948, with the comic book adaptation published by the AVE editions in the Giraffone series. But it is with the third in 1964, again for AVE, that Jac creates his masterpiece, enriching the text with an iconographic set full of those elements that have made it famous throughout the world, giving us back like no other the soul, the fantasy and the provocativeness of Collodi's tale. A museum piece. Slight creases and small tears in the margins. Signed with a fishbone.
