Daily comic strip from October 17, 1978, for "Garfield". A Garfield Daily comic strip from the very early days—the first four months—of its publication in the newspapers (June 19, 1978), featuring Garfield and his owner Jon. The 1978 panels are extremely rare, with only a handful remaining in private collections. They are of particular interest because Jim Davis drew all the art himself during the strip's first year; other artists subsequently took over the inking. Signed and dedicated.
