Original comic art made by Crepax for page 116 of "Count Dracula," the adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic, first published in volume form by Milano Libri in 1987. Detaching himself from all the visual imagery of film, Crepax returns to his roots, studying, dismantling, and reconstructing the Irish writer's text. The result is a fascinating epistolary graphic novel with an almost 19th-century drawing style, with hatching inspired by the French artist Gustave Doré. Crepax brings out the erotic side underlying this late-19th-century work, reviving the underlying theme that has accompanied him throughout his career. Signed and dated.
