After ending his legendary career with Juventus in 2012, Alessandro Del Piero embarked on a journey as a true global ambassador for football, choosing exotic destinations to continue playing and enjoying himself. His first stop was Australia, where he played for Sydney FC for two seasons; there, he not only scored some stunning goals, but he literally transformed the country's interest in football, drawing huge crowds to stadiums. Subsequently, in 2014, he had a brief but significant stint in India with Delhi Dynamos, helping launch the newly formed Indian Super League before finally hanging up his boots.
