When addressing the theme of the nude, Mario Giacomelli works with the same spirit that inspires him when facing a landscape: he avoids reproducing it in a predictably realistic way, seeks unusual perspectives, makes highly personal cropping choices, and achieves results that are both surprising and poetic.
