Naples, Royal Topographical Office of War, 1828. Copper-engraved topographic map 688 x 944 mm composed of 32 sheets (167 x 113 mm) mounted on canvas, some defects on the canvas.
Specialist Notes
One of the rarest and most accurate topographical representations of Naples from the first half of the 19th century. This is the first complete survey of the city carried out and published by the Royal Topographical Office of War, begun in 1814 and completed in the following years by the engineer Giosuè Russo.
