Title page printed in red and black, with 7 full-page black and white plates, loose sheets in editorial paperback, title printed in red on the front cover, foxing and light browning on the paperback. Handwritten dedication on the flyleaf by Mario and Marilyn Fiorani to Giuseppe Ungaretti. § Jouve, Pierre Jean. Langue . sl, L'Arche, nd Loose fascicles with light browning within paperback with dust jacket, some tears on the spine. One of 25 copies marked SP. Author's dedication to Ungaretti. § Zen Bouddhisme. Les Dix Etapes dans l'art de garder la vache , Paris, Godet, 1949. With 10 engravings by Ralph Gautel. Paperback (some defects in the binding). Dedication to Ungaretti.

A rare, out-of-print edition printed on handmade paper in 87 copies, ours is no. 51, commissioned by Mario and Marilyn Fiorani for New Year's Eve 1953.
