Half-title, title page, with 3 large, folded, outside-the-text intaglio plates reproducing 66 figures and tables with the physical characteristics of the gems, slight foxing, contemporary half-leather binding, gold titles on the spine, minor defects and signs of aging.
Specialist Notes
First Italian edition of this famous gemological treatise written by René-Just Haüy, today considered one of the founders of crystallography and scientific mineralogy.
