Il dipinto è riconducibile alla bottega di Gortzius Geldorp (Lovanio 1551 - Colonia post 1619), pittore di origine fiamminga ma attivo a Colonia nei primi due decenni del Seicento. Per un confronto, si veda il Ritratto di Hortensia del Pardo, datato 1596, conservato ad Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum, ed il Ritratto di signora, siglato GG e datato 1597, passato in asta Capitolium, Brescia 12/12/2019, lotto 134.
