This selection of five icons from the Neo Genesis (N1) set represents the historic debut of the second generation in the Pokémon TCG, here in their original Japanese versions. These cards are famous for introducing the revolutionary "Neo" layout, characterized by a clean, modern aesthetic that redefined the brand's design. The illustrations range from the soft, natural lines of Ken Sugimori (Jumpluff, Meganium, Azumarill) to the metallic, material power of Kenichi Ebina (Steelix) and Christopher Rush (Skarmory). In particular, the Japanese Steelix and Skarmory are beloved for the contrast between their holographic effect and the cool tones of the then-new Metal type.
