Specialist Notes
This is a standard HK500 model with “hemi” Chrysler engine and automatic transmission. The engine is a V8-cylinder with overhead-valve, bore 107.95 mm, stroke 85.85 mm for a total capacity of 6,286 cc; coil ignition; three-speed automatic gearbox with pushbutton selectors on dash; hypoid final drive; footbrake hydraulic disc on four wheels, handbrake on rear wheels; front suspension independent coil and wishbone, rear semi-elliptic; the wheelbase is 8 ft. 9 in; tyre size 6.70 x 15. The car carries the regular 2 + 2 coupé coachwork with wrapround screen and integral boot. It features the iconic four headlamps and is left-hand drive. This car has had three owners since new and has not been modified in any way. Purchased at Christie's auction in Monza in 1974. This car has been standing still for more than 30 years with the need for consequent restorations; work was done, including a new exhaust system and overhaul of the transmission and front suspension.
