It is not infrequent to come across bronzes by Eros Pellini on the market, but a rare fact is to come across a large nude of him and a particularly happy realization. It follows, in this unique specimen, a long-distance dialogue with Manzù and Messina where Pellini, having now left the Martinian and Wildtian lesson of the material, concentrates on more nervous lines and on a sensuality reminiscent of the achievements beyond the Alps, in a dynamism held restrained but whose strength is perceived. An all-round figure who, unlike his more carefree dancers or girls, denotes a Canovian accent especially on the complex hairstyle and profile of great nobility. A unicum in his production and which highlights the tension of the girl's quivering body, in a modeled by an authentic master, now counted among the best of the Italian twentieth century.
