dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Tibet, Straight, single-edged blade with curved tip made of fine welded steel. Iron hilt with rectangular quillon decorated with vertical grooves, pommel and ferrule richly pierced at the front, the pommel decorated with a red cabochon stone, wooden handle with silver frame and central stave. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with richly pierced and gilt iron mounts, the cap decorated with a turquoise stone, the base with a red cabochon stone. Smooth iron back with leather-lined opening.
