Specialist Notes
The birth of the Helm clock is accredited to Charles Constantin, who at the beginning of the 30s during the Great Depression, in order to optimizing production, chose to use 300 movements of 22-lignes that had been prepared for Brazil -and had not been sold since 1914- to produce this sort of Chronomètre Royal desk clock. This watch formerly belonged to Carlo Matteini, Lieutenant General of the Naval Command Corps, silver valor medal, Official of the Order of the Crown of Italy and of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
